This Victorian Adaption and Sustainability Partnership project will inform local government planning processes to optimise food and fibre production and ensure biodiversity continues to provide a wide range of ecosystem services in a changing climate.
The project aims to:
- Protect high value agricultural land into the future
- Provide guidance for new agricultural developments in the light of current and future land capability and sustainability
- Understand the predicted climate change impacts on biodiversity
The project is being led by Hepburn Shire in partnership with Golden Plains, Pyrenees and Moorabool Shires and Cultivate Agribusiness.
